Shearbolt connectors are intended for stranded and solid aluminium and copper cable, low voltage and medium voltage up to 36 kV.
They comprise cable areas 10-630 mm² round cable and 16-240 mm² for sector cable. There is also a screw sleeve for branches up to a total of 100 mm². The joint with the conductor is achieved by the screws in the connector or terminal being tightened to a predetermined torque. To facilitate the installation, there is the holding tool ISL2201.
A system is for both low and medium voltage in the same shearbolt connector or screw terminal Insulation is not included. Tightening is done with a partially threaded nut that is threaded on a turnable screw. The screw is made of brass to reduce friction losses. A correct tightening torque is achieved when the screw breaks into the breaking track. Instructions accompany every package.
The shearbolt connector has a tight intermediate wall. The shearbolt joints meet the requirements in IEC 61238-1:2003.
The terminals are made of bimetal, where the terminal plate is made of copper. Reducer washers come with so that the plate can always be screwed on with two screw sizes.
A system solely for low voltage where the screws are pre-threaded. The screws are made of brass and consist of four connectors that take everything from 10-240 mm², round or sector shaped cable. The through connectors have a tight intermediate wall. They can be bought individually or as a complete kit with heat shrink insulation. The screw connectors are tested according to IEC61238-1:2003.

The terminal is called SBC50, is made of stainless steel and has a work area from 2x16 to max 2x50mm², and can be used for earth wires of both copper and steel, against rebar between Ø 5-8 mm. The wires are pushed against each other with a screw that shall be tightened to 50 Nm or until the wrench begins to resist. The screw does not break as stainless steel is so strong. It is short circuit tested as per IEC61238-1.

Screw clamps for earthing applications enable branching of reinforcing bars with a stranded earth line in Cu or Fe.
To splice the copper screen around the conductors, a filler piece is required that is placed between the screw and the screen. To select the correct filler piece, see table. Requires 2 filler pieces per splice.
